FOSS Meet offers companies a great opportunity for advertisements. The meet brings together a large pool of talented engineers. We had participation of 400 and 300 students in the previous two editions. The previous successes of the meet has resulted in a wide publicity in print media. The aim of the meet is to promote FOSS and encourage contributions. As open source software is also widely used in the industry, this will indirectly benefit our sponsors.
Our previous sponsors include IBM, TCS, Wipro, Kerala State IT Mission, Idea and IOCL. The Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V S Achuthanandan, had agreed to inaugurate FOSS 07, though he could not make it due to an important session at the state legislature.
